AUTHOR'S NOTES:
Well, I'm just on a posting frenzy this week! I've actually had the first poem for a while, but figured I would wait until I thought up another one before posting it.

Both of these poems are slightly longer than I usually write, but they are two of the best IMHO.
So, enjoy!

[As usual interpretation is left up to the reader, althought these are fairly easy to guess who and what I'm referring to]

The Fifth Wheel
Doc Heller

This isn't my place,
I don't belong here
I am the fifth wheel nobody cares for
But will not turn away

I am helpless
I've never needed others,
Except for now
And the only ones to turn to
Are those I don't know

Monsters invade my dreams,
But I don't dream!
At least I didn't
At least not there
At least,
Not where I belonged

I am stuck in a maze
And there is no escape
Each wrong turn is another burden
Each path leads to a dead end

The Last Thread
Doc Heller

Everything I've believed in
Is unraveling
Everyone I've trusted
Is no longer here
I have nothing left,
Yet still I cannot break away

I know I can have new beliefs
I know others can be trusted,
As I trusted you

Yet somehow,
Cutting the final string is harder
Than any of the others
