AUTHOR'S NOTES:
This is something I wrote just for fun back in 6th grade. It's supposed to take place while they're in the biodome, I guess.

I Pity Doctor Heller On Her Lunch Duty Day by Lizzy Heckert

Dr. Heller, Dr. Heller
A kind and kindred soul
Poured the food, poured the food
Into Uly's bowl.

I pity thee, poor Heller
Yes, I pity thee.
I pity those assigned the task
Of daily lunch duty.

Poor and dump, poor and dump
Quite repetetive
Stopping now and then
To give a sedative

Boring is the task
Of giving people food
Surely it would put ME
Into a foul mood.

Look at Devon smiling!
Oh yes, she'll pay.
'Cause Heller knows that Devon, too
Will have lunch duty some day.

Oh, no! You're out of slop!
Better get some more . . .
. . . SPIT from that Grendler
Standing outside the door.

No one knows the secret
To Heller's cure-all
But if they did I think they'd rush
To the bathroom down the hall.

Devon wouldn't smile
If she knew what's in her food
Neither would Morgan
No matter how shrewd . . . .

. . . he is.
