The Beginning-a sequel Category: Books » Harry Potter Censor: G Genre: Romance Reviews: 0 Author: pottergirl Font Size: Bigger (+) - Smaller (-) A/N: Where do I begin? Okay, here goes... Thankyou everybody for the WONDERFUL reviews and adding me to your favs. I loved the reviews!! I guess I was right. This was my best fic so far. I got 33 reviews overnight! Thankyou thankyou. I have decided to write a sequel. Though I don't know if you're going to like this as much as the last. This is just like an epilogue. But since I guess most of you want me to move on with the story, I wrote this sequel. Once again, the reviews were wonderful and its quite amazing to see there are a lot of Asians here. By the way, can everybody be more specific when they say 'Asians' because Asia's a large continent with a lot of countries! I myself belong to the Indo-Pak sub-continent. Do I have to be more precise? Ok then I'll tell u. I'm from Pakistan! (you wouldn't have thought of it but there are millions of HP fans here in Pakistan and currently we are also with all the others waiting impatiently for the movie and HP-5!!) Title: The Beginning... Rating: PG-13 Summary: a sequel, that's what I can say only! Disclaimer: I do not own any of the following characters but I do own the plot and the story. The characters and everything related is Ms Rowling's. Oh yes, I do own Philips Weasley and Felicity Potter. The Beginning Harry opened his eyes slowly. Morning sunlight flooded the room making it difficult for his eyes to adjust to the sudden brightness. He was about to move a bit when he realized that his wife of barely a day was lying asleep in his arms, their faces barely five inches away. Harry closed his eyes thinking of the night before when he had married Ginny Weasley, his best friends sister. It had been a sort of emergency wedding where Ginny was to be married to Neville since Harry had disappeared mysteriously for more than a year. But Harry had turned up before her wedding and Neville, knowing their love since school had planned a surprise wedding where Ginny didn't realize she was marrying Harry until he said, "I do" at the altar. Ginny had been very very happy, actually shocked. But now, Harry was in Sirius's home and Sirius had gone to Professor Dumbledore to inform him that Harry had returned. Harry smiled while still closing his eyes. Suddenly he felt soft lips upon his, kissing him. He opened his eyes and saw Ginny wide-awake, her eyes sparkling. She smiled at him and he bent his head forward to kiss her back. "Aren't we going to get up?", he asked her when they broke away. She snuggled closer. "I would if you would let me", she said slyly. Harry realized his arms were wrapped tight around her. He let go of her and sat up in bed yawning. "I didn't say immediately!!", she said with a mock-frown on her face. Harry propped himself up on an elbow. "Will you make up your mind?", he asked her with a mischievous smile. "Can't you read my mind and tell me what I want?", she asked with the same mischievous smile. Harry bent forward over her and kissed her passionately for a long time. She smiled at him when they broke away. Harry grinned and came close again burying his face in the side of her neck making her gasp slightly. Suddenly there was a loud tap-tap-tap on the window and Harry turned around. A tiny owl was fluttering excitedly outside. He smiled sympathetically at Ginny and turned around, got out of bed to get the letter. "Its Pig", he said as the owl fluttered in excitedly when he opened the window. "Haven't lost your liveliness have you, Pig?" Pig sat on the windowsill as Harry read the letter aloud. "Hi Harry, Can you and Ginny come over instead of us? Send the time back through Pig. Everyone's waiting. Ron". "What's the time right now?", Harry asked Ginny. "Nine thirty", she said checking her watch. "Ten's okay?", he asked. "Yeah sure. I'll get dressed", she said and Harry scribbled the time on the back of the parchment and gave it to Pig who fluttered out of the window quickly. Ginny got up out of the bed. Harry came forwards and put his arms around her waist. "Hey, let me get dressed. And you need to change too", she protested. He frowned. "I don't have any of my robes here. All my clothes were in-" "-your apartment which Sirius brought over here. Honestly, Harry didn't you hear a word Sirius said while coming here yesterday??", Ginny added for him, smiling. "Oh, well, I was barricaded by your brothers!!", he reasoned. Ginny slowly slipped out of his arms. "Well, we've got barely a half hour to get there. Go on, you get dressed", she said opening the cupboard to reveal several robes of different colors hung inside. "See, didn't I tell you?" "Hey this was my favorite one!", Harry said jumping forwards and grabbing a dark gray one. She pushed him over to the bathroom. "There. Now go get dressed". She giggled at the look on his face. "Go", she said giggling. About half an hour later, Harry and Ginny apparated to the Weasley house. "Harry, Gin!", said Ron jumping up to bear-hug Harry and Ginny as they appeared with a 'plop' in the middle of the Weasley living room. "Hey, you're crushing me!", Harry managed to say. Ron let go. "Harry, its so wonderful that you returned. Everyone got such a shock. I guess after the wedding yesterday, the word must be going around like a bush-fire", Ron said making Harry sit on a sofa beside him. "Yeah, I wanted to get back as soon as possible. Er... where are Charlie, Bill, Percy?", asked Harry sitting down. "They're gone off. They couldn't stay long. Anyway, Percy said he had really important work. You know, he got a lot of promotions and now he's secretary to the Minister of Magic! Fred and George are back at their joke shop. Fiona, Heather, Peter, Alicia and Angelina are upstairs", Ron said in a single breath. Ginny who was sitting on the arm of a chair suddenly said, "Where's Hermione and mom, dad?", she asked quickly. "Yeah. Hermione's in our room. Mum and dad have gone shopping today. Dad's finally persuaded mum to go out with him for shopping at a muggle market", said Ron with a smile and Ginny left Harry and Ron to talk while she went up to Hermione. Hermione was sitting in bed-reading a book as usual. She noticed Ginny enter. "Gin!", she said jumping up and hugging Ginny. Both went and sat on Hermione's bed. "How are you?", she asked Ginny. Ginny giggled. "Herm, you saw me last night. It isn't as if I've been gone for ages!", she said. "No, I was just asking. It's so nice to see you so happy", said Hermione smiling broadly. "You terrified me last evening at the wedding!", said Ginny, her eyes wide. Hermione chuckled. "Well, now you've got a special wedding. The bride didn't know who her groom really was!" "Hey", said Ginny. "Anyway, how are you and baby Weasley?" Hermione smiled shyly. "We're fine. You saw me yesterday night", she said chuckling. "Have you found out if it's a boy or a girl?", Ginny asked slowly. Hermione smiled. "No, not yet of course. Soon, I guess", she said with a smile. "Then I can become an aunt!", said Ginny quickly making Hermione smile. A Month Later at Sirius, Harry and Ginny's house... The bell rang. Ginny hurriedly hid the paper she had in her hands and opened the main door with just enough time to see Harry before he jumped on top of her nearly, hugging her tightly. "Hey!", she said as he refused to leave her. When he left her, he quickly closed the door and looked at her with sparkling eyes. "WHAT?", she begged. "Harry tell me something!". "Gin! I got selected for the national team. I'm England's new seeker!!", he almost yelled hugging her tightly. "Harry! That's wonderful news! I can't believe it!", said Ginny, her happiness evident all over her face. "I can't believe it too!", he said hugging her again. "Have you told Sirius?", she asked quickly. "No, he's at Hogsmeade for some official work. I couldn't tell him. I just found out myself", said Harry calming down a bit. "This is really great", she said and quickly kissed him and he wrapped his arms around her kissing back. When they broke away, Ginny looked at him straight in his eyes, his arms still around her. "When's your first match?", she asked lovingly. "Next month against Australia and I got my first pay already. The manager was really glad", said Harry kissing her on her cheek gently. She put her arms around her neck. "That's wonderful. And I , I've got some news for you too", she said gently. He looked at her quizzically. "What news?", he asked quickly. "I got my report from St Mungo's today by owl and...", she began. "Really? What did it say?", he asked her looking into her twinkling eyes. "What if I were to tell you that you're going to become a daddy?", she asked grinning shyly. Harry almost went mad. "What?! Gin, that's more than wonderful!!! That's GREAT!", he almost yelled hugging her. "That's really great!!". He kissed her for a long time. "I'm glad you're so happy", said Ginny with her arms around his neck. "Happy? I'm more than happy! Is it a boy or girl??", he blabbed on and on. "I don't know that yet silly!", she said giving him a playful punch. He hugged her again. "Oh of course", he said and stood back to look at her. She smiled again at him and he hugged her again. Seven and a half months later... Harry, Ron, Fred, Angelina (and their kids), George, Alicia (and her son)Mr and Mrs Weasley stood in Ron and Hermione's bedroom around their bed. Hermione had come home from St Mungo's a short while ago with her newly born- son. (yes, son). Hermione was sitting in the bed with her son in her arms. "He's soo cute", said Peter (George's son) squeakily. "You sound a lot like a girl", said Harry chuckling. "He looks a lot like Ron when he was younger except his eyes are very light brown, like Hermione's. Same red Weasley hair", said Mr. Weasley. "But what do we name him?", asked Mrs. Weasley who was now sitting next to Hermione looking at her grandson, smiling at him. "Ron?", said Hermione smiling up at her husband. "You said you liked Philips. Is that alright?" "That's a nice name", agreed Mr. Weasley. "Oh I thought of Cedric", said Mrs. Weasley. "Cedric Weasley?" "I don't know", said Mr. Weasley. "Philips a nice name. Philips Weasley. We can shorten that to Phil or Pip or something" "Not Pip dad!!", said George loudly. "Philip's a really good name", agreed Harry. "Then we'll call him Philips", said Hermione and everyone agreed. Soon, only Harry, Ron and Hermione were left in the room with baby Philips in Hermione's arms. "Harry, how's Gin?", asked Hermione quickly. "Gin's doing fine. She's at home. She wanted to come over but I wanted her to rest, you know", said Harry matter-of-factly. Hermione smiled. "Over-protective dad aren't you?", she asked slyly. "But, she should really rest. She was awake for a lot of time last night you know when I came back from London. We were having a match against Luxembourg there yesterday. Well anyway, I forced her to rest", Harry said with folded arms. "Did you win?", asked Ron eagerly. "Yeah! Fourth in a row! It was two hundred to twenty!", said Harry happily. "Oh, well, I'll try to come over in a day or two. I haven't visited her in a while", said Hermione smiling at Harry and Ron, who had his son in his arms talking to him like any proud father. That night at Sirius, Harry and Ginny's home... Harry entered his and Ginny's room to find Ginny sitting in bed with her head back against the headboard and her eyes closed. He tiptoed over to her and placed his hands over her eyes. "Who? Harry?", she asked. Harry let her see. "How do you think you'll ever be able to scare me like that??", she asked him smiling and sitting up straight. He sat down beside her. "I can be hopeful, can't I?", he teased her and kissed her, while wrapping his arms around her neck slightly. He hugged her when they broke away. "How's Hermione and her son?", Ginny asked quietly. Harry moved back to face her. "A very cute little son. He's exactly Ron with the same red Weasley hair but Hermione's pale brown eyes. Guess sons always inherit their mothers' eyes?" "No, that's not necessary. Anyway, have they named him yet? I wish I could see him", said Ginny shifting her legs under the blanket. She shivered. It was winter, "Yeah, they've decided to name him Philips. Philips Weasley", said Harry putting an arm around her comfortably. "That's a nice name! Oh yes, I thought of another name for a daughter while you were away", she said with bright dark brown eyes. Harry chuckled and moved closer resting his hand on her X-large stomach. "Felicity. Felicity Potter?", she said smiling at him. "Gin, that's the perfect name. That's really cute. And hey.... We can call her Felix for short!", said Harry and Ginny was pleased to see his ecstatic gestures. "What's Felix?", she asked puzzled. "That's was a muggle comic, I think, as far as I can remember", said Harry frowning a bit. "But the names really nice. Felicity Potter, lovingly called Felix!" "It won't be too late now", she sighed. "I can barely wait", he whispered and kissed her softly. A month later at St Mungos... Harry paced the corridor nervously. He sat down on a seat and then got up again. He was sweating a bit. The witch at the Enquiry desk looked up at him and smiled. Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived, now a young man, was pacing a hospital corridor anxiously waiting for news of his wife and newly born daughter. The doctor had taken Ginny away about half an hour ago and there was still no news. He looked up to see the doors of the Maternal Ward open slowly and the doctor slowly emerged, no longer in her white work gown, but in neat white Hospital robes. Harry quickly went over to her. She smiled at him warmly. "Doctor, what-?" "Congratulations Mr. Potter. You're the father of a cute little daughter. A lot of resemblances with you, I must say!", she said quickly. Harry went almost mad but controlled his emotions. He stuttered, "Where is Ginny, doctor? When can I see her?". The doctor grinned on seeing his ecstatic face. This was the Harry Potter who had recently defeated the darkest wizard of all times, Voldemort. "You can see her now. But you only, I'm afraid she will not be able to meet any other person for today. Room number seven, first one on the right down the Maternal Ward corridor", she said quickly. Harry muttered a thank you and went off to search for the room. Ginny was lying in the bed. She looked as if she was sleeping. On hearing his footsteps, she opened her eyes. Harry smiled at her and quickly went over and gave her a kiss. "I was waiting for you. I'm supposed to sleep but I wanted to see you first", she said smiling contentedly. He sat down beside her and ran his finger gently through her hair. "Was it alright?", he asked slowly. "Yeah, sort of. I didn't get to see her yet. The doctors were all very excited, as far as I could hear", she said as he kissed her forehead. "Why wouldn't they be? That's Harry Potter's daughter", Harry chuckled. "No, that was something else. They were all huddled around her talking excitedly. I wish I knew what that was about!", she persisted. Harry looked at her lovingly then hugged her. "Hey...", Ginny whispered. "I'm so glad Gin. Life's not what it seemed to end up like when I was young", he sighed. "I really love you, Gin" Ginny smiled at him as he let go. "And-" but she was interrupted by the entrance of the doctor. She was smiling, " Excuse me Mr Potter, I'm sorry but you will have to leave her to rest for now. She needs it", she said. "But doctor, our daughter, when can we see her?", said Harry getting up. "You'll see her as soon as Mrs. Potter has her rest", she said quickly and Harry left Ginny with a quick kiss. Outside the doctor said, "Mr. Potter. We would like to tell you... well this is something really strange...". Harry looked at her quizzically, "What-?" "Mr. Potter... apart from inheriting your eyes, that are green, your daughter seems to have inherited your..scar.", said the doctor looking at him to see his reaction. "What?!", Harry almost shouted. "Inherit my scar? That's not possible. Scars can't be inherited! My scar-" "Yes, its true that it's impossible but as we all know your scar is not exactly any normal scar. Its quite extraordinary... its very light now anyway, not much visible must you would be able to distinguish it from the skin..", said the doctor slowly. Harry frowned. "But why...?", he asked. "Well, Professor Albus Dumbledore would be able to help in this matter. You will have to personally meet him for that... anyway, your wife is resting right now. You can return to meet her in a few hours", said the doctor "But can't I see my daughter now?", Harry asked quickly. "I'm sorry. We're running some tests and then she has to enroll.." "Enroll? For what?", said Harry suddenly. "For Hogwarts. Every newborn witch and wizard's name is put up for Hogwarts immediately" The doctor then left Harry with a few more words. Harry used floo powder to travel to the Burrow. No one was in the living room when he reached there. "Hello? Is anybody at home?", he called out. He heard tiny feet pattering down the stairs and soon a small four-year-old girl came into the living room with short brown hair. Harry recognized her as one of Fred's twin daughters. "Uncle Harry!", she squealed. "Mom!! Uncle Ron! Uncle Harry's here!!", she shouted. "Hello uncle Harry. Where's Aunt Ginny?", she asked Harry running up to him. Before Harry could reply, Ron came down the stairs with what seemed like a rolled up blanket in his arms. He smiled at Harry. "Harry how are you here at this time of the day?", he asked walking up to him and Harry saw Philips Weasley sleeping in his fathers arms. "Ron", Harry said quickly. "I'm a father now!!!". "Harry that's great! Where's Ginny?", Ron asked quickly. "She's at St Mungo's. She needs to rest so she's sleeping there for a few hours. I thought I'd come by to tell you", said Harry in one single breath. "Oh but did you inform Sirius?", asked Ron quickly. "Its difficult to catch hold of him now a days with him off to Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley every other day. Will ever be able to spend time with him?", said Harry a bit gloomily. "I'll go off to Hogsmeade now, I'll see him. And then we'll all go to St Mungo's" "Have you seen her, I mean your daughter?", said Ron excitedly. "No, but-I did find out something about her. Ron, she's got my eyes, green", said Harry slowly. "Wow", said Ron. "..That's not all of it. She's also got my...scar", Harry almost whispered. Ron turned strangely pale. "What?" "Yeah, I'm worried. What is this supposed to mean. The doctor said I should try asking Professor Dumbledore. So, I'll visit him soon too", said Harry trying to straighten his hair which still stuck up. "Oh this is strange. I mean scars are not-", began Ron. "We'll leave it for now. Anyway, where's Hermione? I'll meet her before going", said Harry changing the subject. "Hermione's helping mum and dad out in the back yard. After dad's retirement, mum and dad decided to perk up this place so they're fixing the garden. Hermione looked up some new charms. Lets go meet them and tell them too", said Ron. Harry moved forwards and suddenly tripped and fell on the floor. "Ouch, what happened?", he groaned rubbing his elbow. Someone giggled. Harry turned around to see Heather Weasley giggling from behind the side of a sofa. She had tied the laces of his shoes together. "That's Fred daughter for you!", chuckled Ron as Harry stumbled up. That evening--- Harry, Ron, Fred, George, Angelina, Alicia, Hermione went up to St Mungo's along with Mr. and Mrs. Weasley to visit Ginny. "Arthur, I'm afraid all of you won't be able to meet her at the same time..", said the Enquiry desk witch who knew Mr. Weasley. "But, she's asked for them already. I just met her", said Harry who had made a trip to Ginny half an hour before. "Oh well, I guess if you wish, Mr. Potter", she said with a smile and allowed everyone to go. Harry entered Ginny's room to see she was awake and drinking a glass of juice. Her brothers rushed forwards to greet her and congratulate her. She smiled brightly at the lot. Mr. Weasley shed a few tears of happiness. When the random babbling sub sided, Harry got a word in, "Have you seen her yet, Gin?", he asked sitting by her side in the bed as everybody settled on chairs nearby. "No, I tired to persuade the doctor but she said when you'd come she'd bring her here", said Gin still smiling. "Hermione, how's Philip?", asked Ginny. "He's fine. Seems to be having a sleeping disorder though", said Hermione getting up with her son in her arms and showing him to Ginny. "I've been looking up spells for him". "Hermione, trust you to refer to books, always!", chuckled Harry but was interrupted by a nurse who entered the room. Everybody turned to look and saw that she was carrying a tiny white bundle of blankets and she was smiling. Harry got up quickly. "Here is your daughter, Mr. Potter", she said slowly placing the tiny bundle into his arms. Harry didn't know how to react when someone places your newly born in your arms. He tried to smile but couldn't out of nerves. His daughter had a milky white skin and short red hair like Ginny's. Her eyes were closed and she was breathing peacefully. Nobody moved from their places though they wanted to. Ginny waited on tenterhooks. Harry smiled and gently placed his daughter in Ginny's arms. Ginny's reaction as just the same as Harry's. She looked at the tiny bundle in her arms and smiled. The tiny baby opened her eyes. They were sparkling green just like Harry's. She smiled. Ginny shed a tear of happiness and Harry put an arm around her. Hermione, Mrs. Weasley, Alicia and Angelina got up and went over to Ginny's side. "The darling..", said Angelina. "Wow, Harry they're exactly your eyes", whispered Hermione and Ron, Fred, George moved forward for a look. "And she's got your hair, Gin", said Alicia. Mrs. Weasley looked happy beyond words. "She looks more like a Weasley", said George and Fred nodded. Harry and Ginny didn't say anything. Ginny hugged her daughter slightly to herself. "Mum, Dad, Harry and I want to name her Felicity", said Ginny softly looking at her parents. "Felicity. Is it a common name?", asked Ron. "I've heard of it quite a lot of times but it isn't as common as Sarah or Jill or something...", said Fred. "Yes and we thought we'd call her Felix for short", added Harry, his eyes sparkling like his daughters. "Done!", said George and Fred together. "That's a lovely name. Felicity Potter or Felix. That does not sound as innocent as Felicity" "Well, I suppose Heather sounds innocent then", said Harry grinning wickedly. "Did she get you too?", asked Fred and when Harry nodded, he chuckled and pretended to sob. "I'm so proud of her". Everyone started laughing or chuckling. "You would be", said Mr. Weasley. The nurse returned just then. "Can we take Ginny and Felicity home now?", asked Harry. "Oh that's a lovely name. Yes, yes, you may, its alright now", said the nurse brightly. Harry took Felicity in his arms and slightly brushed away her red hair form her forehead to reveal a light lightning bolt shaped scar there. Though, he had known about it, Harry was still a little surprised. The scar was quite clear. It was a good thing Felicity's hair were just as untamable as Harry's, so they covered her forehead to a considerable extent. "What happened Harry?", asked Ginny. "Nothing" "Harry we'll be outside, waiting", said Mrs. Weasley and everybody moved out of the room. Harry sat down on the bed with Ginny and placed Felicity in Ginny's arms. "She's really cute", he whispered after a moment of silence. Ginny nodded. "And she's got your hair. I mean, they're all wild like yours", she said and brushed away her daughters hair from her forehead. She gasped. "Harry, she's got a scar like yours!!" Harry sighed. "I know. The doctor told me that today. That was what they were all excited about today" "But why?! Not Voldemort...?" "No, he's gone Gin. Don't worry. I'll talk to professor Dumbledore about this tomorrow" Soon the Weasleys and the Potter family left St. Mungo's for home. TO BE CONTINUED....
