Subject: [seaQuest-ff] Social Phenomenon of Post Adolescence

Okay, here it is. "The Social Phenomenon of Post Adolescence", through the
eyes of, though not in first person, Lucas Wolenczak and Angela Chase.
(Note: Like, a good deal of my writing, this is a parody of life in general,
and especially life on _seaQuest_. Though not "pee your pants" funny, I feel
it has some subtle humor and should still not be taken seriously. Thank
you.) I also wrote most of this around midnight and I didn't really edit it
much -- please excuse my spelling.
NOTE: I show thoughts by putting a little ~ before and after the thoughts.

DISCLAIMER: Okay, I figure there has to be legal issues with this, so I'll
get them over with quickly. None of these characters are mine. I'm just
test-driving them. I promise, since this is non-canon, I will give them all
back without a scratch when I'm done. (Yes, even Lucas, believe it or not.)
Okay, as for _who_ they belong to, (not me, that's for sure), _seaQuest_
belongs to Universal and Amblin Entertainment and the Sci. Fi. Channel or
whatever, and _My So-Called Life_ belongs to Winnie Holzman and a.k.a.
Productions and M-TV, or whatever.
Okay, that's the Disclaimer. Thank you.

"Rise and Shine! You're listening to WNBC, the best of the best in
modern rock music."
~Thus begins a day in the life of Lucas.~ Lucas Wolenczak groaned,
rolled over, and threw his small clock radio across the room. ~Just a few
more minutes, Mom~ Lucas thought incoherently, not bothering to take into
account the fact that his mother was _definately_ not on the _seaQuest_ with
him.
He was just drifting back to sleep, when his PAL chirped loudly.
Lucas moaned. ~I don't wanna go to school today. No, wait. I don't go to
school, do I?~ Lucas grabbed the PAL, and flipped it on. "What?" he asked,
hoping his irritation showed.
Captain Nathan Hale Bridger's voice came over the small device.
"Lucas? Where are you? You're supposed to be down in the docking bay to meet
those representatives from that high school."
Lucas sighed; he did _not_ want to get out of his nice, warm bed.
Especially not to play tour guide to a bunch of teenagers. ~Hold on a
second. _I'm_ a teenager.~ "Yeah, I'll be there," Lucas said, and shut the
PAL off before Bridger could reply.
Lucas rolled out of bed and pulled on a pair of jeans. He didn't
bother changing his shirt -- he was nearly exceeding his New Clothes Quota.
~Why can't I have a _normal_ so-called life?~

Yeah, I know that this part was really short, but hey. What does everyone
think? Any kind of feedback is apprieciated.
